Terms of service
Last updated 26 October 2026. By using Nodal you agree to these terms.
The service
Nodal operates a data index, an API that serves it to paying agents, a ledger that splits each payment, and smart contracts on Robinhood Chain that settle and pay out in USDG. Nodal is software. It is not a bank, a broker, an exchange or an investment service, and nothing on this site is financial, legal or tax advice.
Your data
You may only upload text you own or have the right to share and to license for retrieval by third parties. You keep ownership of what you upload. By uploading, you grant Nodal and the agents that pay for queries a worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, index, embed, serve and, if a training round includes your dataset, use it to fine-tune models, for as long as it stays in the index. Do not upload personal data of others, secrets, unlawful content or material that infringes rights. We may remove any dataset that breaks these rules.
Payments and payouts
Paid queries are priced in USDG and paid with signed EIP-3009 authorizations that the keeper settles in batches. If an authorization cannot be settled, the related earnings are reversed. Earnings are claimable after settlement and a posted root. Amounts are computed by the formulas published in the docs. Blockchain transactions are final; we cannot reverse them.
Training and votes
Training rounds, proposals and votes are run as described in the docs. A round may be delayed if no qualified GPU node is available. Vote weights and the base models offered may change between rounds.
Third parties
Base models are published by third parties under their own licenses (for example Qwen, Meta Llama and Hugging Face models). Nodal is not affiliated with or endorsed by the companies whose names or marks appear on this site.
Risks
Smart contracts, wallets and blockchains carry risks including bugs, key loss and network failure. You use the service at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is, without warranty, and Nodal is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
